Ukrainian soldiers captured Russian T-72 tank that attacked their positions near Debaltsevo

Ukrainian soldiers of brigade #128 captured Russian T-72 tank near Debaltsevo.

This tank for over a weeks was shelling at the positions of Ukrainian soldiers. Artillery couldn’t destroy it, this tank was moving to certain location unexpectedly and shoot 1-2 times and drove back.

So Ukrainian soldiers decided to do something about it. 6 guys at 2am went to terrorist controlled territory and found this tank. It was parked near a small house. Soldiers decided not to go inside in order not to make noise. One of the artillery guys was mechanic-driver, so he offered to steal the tank.

When T-72 tank started to move, our soldiers saw tank drivers who got out of the house in panic and ran away. Probably they thought that Ukrainians will shoot their house with a tank.

The team of artillerymen successfully returned to their positions. They immediately put Ukrainian flag on the captured tank. Inside they found documents and Russian field ration packs. So far the soldiers use the tank as a tractor, they don’t have an gun-layer who could fire from the cannon. But they hope they will get specialist and the captured tank will reinforce their artillery unit.

Government sent Armored Trucks to evacuate civil populations from towns on the front line of ATO zone

Sergiy Bochkovskiy the head of Ukrainian Emergency Service has posted photos of 2 new KRAZ- 5233BE armored trucks that the National Guard of Ukraine gave to them. Those trucks are already on the way to Donetsk and Lugansk Regions.

We need to take people to safe place, but the most important is that all children that we get out will not hear the sounds of bullets above their heads and will not see cruelty and outrage of terrorists. I want to thank my boys who were re-branding and re-painting the trucks all night, so today we were able send those trucks to Donetsk Region. I am very proud that we have such devoted people working with me.

Terrorists shooting at residential building in Vuhlehirsk, Ukraine, for Russian TV

Russian TV channel Russia 1 http://russia.tv made a report from Vuhlehirsk city which is now under attack of pro-Russian terrorist groups of so-called “Donetsk People’s Republic”. The reporter Evgeniy Popov says that the terrorists are “cleaning” the residential building from “Right Sector” and Ukrainian Army.

At 0:54 you can see how tank #429 is shooting at the building, the tank has Russian Federation flag on it, is red, blue and white at the top of the flag.

Few seconds later at 0:59 you can clearly see that the flag on a tank changed and it is now a flag of terrorist organization “DNR”(DPR), the flag is red, blue and black at the top. The residential building that the tanks shoot at is burning. Obviously they changed the flag on a tank, but forgot to cut the video with Russian flag at the video they showed on Russian TV

Here is a video that was shown in Russian TV channel Russia 1. During the video there is no shooting back, no bodies of killed enemy. In the report they are saying they are fighting for the area control and the building they shoot at is important strategic location. But the truth is that there was no shooting and there was no Ukrainian Army in the area, they just shoot at a building where civilian people may still be hiding to make a picture for Russian TV. This is terrible war crime backed by Russia and made for Russian propaganda.

Here some photos with a closer look that shows the damage made by Russian terrorists while they were shooting from their tank under the flag of Russian Federation.

Russian Army left Chongar (Kherson Region) – strategic location on the border line with Crimea

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko posted a message on his Twitter account that Ukraine got full control over strategic location in Chongar, a small village in Kherson Region located on the border with Crimea currently occupied by Russian Federation.

Russian Army built their checkpoint on a bridge connecting Chorgar to Crimea in March 2014, they also took control over hotel in Chongar. It was important strategic point for Russian Army as that would open straight road that would provide them land road connection to Crimea. Chongar is located on the road to Mariupol and Rostov-on-Don. Rostov-on-Don is the major Military base used to train terrorist groups that Russia sends to Ukraine. Russia failed to take control over Mariupol, but they moved half way from Russian border to Mariupol and were stopped at about 40 km from the city.

Why airports in Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye were shut down for few days.

The decision to temporally shut down airports in several cities in Ukraine was made by State Aviation Administration of Ukraine www.avia.gov.ua based on information that pro-Russian terrorists who control some areas in Lugansk and Donetsk regions could have “surface-to-air” missiles with attack range of 250 km (155 miles) and that could be dangerous for civil aircraft.

This information was reported yesterday by Security Service of Ukraine adviser Olena Hitlyanska during the briefing.

The decision to shut down three airports was made by State Aviation Administration of Ukraine based on information provided by one of the departments of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine regarding possible danger for civil aircraft in ATO (Anti-Terrorists Operation) zone. There was information that on the territory of Lugansk and Donetsk Regions there were “surface-to-air” missiles (“Buk”, “Pantsir” or similar) with maximum attack range of 250 km. So the decision was made to prevent situations similar to MH17.

Reported by UNIAN

Later same day State Aviation Administration of Ukraine published information on their website that the airspace in the are of Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov airports is open again from 21:00 on December 15 2014. And all flights are resumed.

In order to provide security of the flights the airspace in the area of Zaporozhye airport will be closed till 06:00 December 20 2014.

After we analyze the information above, we come to conclusion that the only possible location where pro-Russian terrorist may have “Buk” missiles is the read area controlled by them near Mariupol. That’s the only place in 250 km range that covers Zaporozhye and doesn’t cover Dnepropetrovsk and Kharkov airports.

And if you check FlightRadar24 you can see that the flights to other airports has been really resumed, and flight Z61/UDN1 by Dniproavia from Kiev to Dnepropetrovsk is landing now.
