Chief Administration in Fight with the Organized Crime in Kiev stopped the traffic of weapon coming from another region of Ukraine.
There were a lot of different ammo, RGG-26 grenade launcher, AK machine gun, 6 anti-tank grenades PG-7C, 2 grenades RDG-5, 9 grenades F-1 and other. The group who managed that illegal weapon traffic was active for over a year. The police arrested them when they were selling big amount of weapon, the buyer has paid 30 000 USD for that deal.
Special Monitoring Mission of OSCE made their 1st test flight of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Ukraine near Mariupol. Mariupol is about 40km to the front line where Russian Forces occupied part of Ukrainian territory on the Azov Sea. The main purpose of using UAV is to monitor the situation in the conflict areas and control the movement on the Ukrainian-Russian border. Check the video of OSCE UAV flight below.
The Mission’s use of its UAVs aims at supporting the fulfilment of its mandate through complementary aerial information-gathering focused on monitoring the general security situation in Ukraine.
The UAVs will also be used for other tasks that are in line with the SMM’s mandate; such as monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the Minsk Protocol of 5 September and the Minsk Memorandum of 19 September 2014.
“The UAVs will enhance existing monitoring capabilities in fulfilment of our mandate in Ukraine,” said Chief Monitor Ambassador Ertugrul Apakan. “They will compliment what our monitors observe on the ground, which will still be our primary source of information gathering.”
Initially, and until further notice, the SMM’s UAV will operate over the area south of Donetsk down to the Sea of Azov, eastwards as far as the Ukrainian-Russian state border and westwards towards the line of contact.
One of strategic goals of “Ukroboronprom” company’s development is to work according to international standards. First Deputy General Director of “Ukroboronprom” Sergiy Pinkas said that the equipment used by Ukrainian Army was manufactured in USSR time. So now the priority is to use NATO standards. This will allow to provide modern equipment to military forces of Ukraine and to increase defense level of the country.

Today, about 60 companies that are part of the Concern are implementing quality management system ISO 9001. Those standards will help to structure the management, finances and to unify production processes, including inner audit. In the nearest future “Ukroboronprom” will work as single corporate system based on European standards and the next step is going to be implementation of NATO standards in production of weapons.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov just posted a short report about new armored cars that were manufactured for the National Guard of Ukraine. Those type of vehicles are made at KrAZ, a factory that produces trucks and other special-purpose vehicles located in Kremenchuk, Poltava Region. The cars got name “SPARTAN”. It has following Protection level: Protection – CEN level B6, Floor – STANAG 4569 level 2 + anti-mine. You can read more about this vehicle at KaAZ factory website
The armored cars will be sent to “Luch” factory in Kiev and will get modern military equipment and Ukrainian Antitank weapons system SARMAT that can eliminate enemy tanks from a distance up to 6 km. And after that the cars will be sent to the front line.
The new Governor of Donetsk Regional State Administration ordered to move all departments into three cities that are under control of Ukrainian authorities. Now administration will be located into Kramatorks, Slavyansk and Mariupol located in Donetsk Region and liberated from pro-Russian terrorists.
In Kramatorsk the administration will be located in City Hall building at the following address: Lenina square 2. In Slavyansk the department of Regional Administration will be located at City Hall on October Revolution square 2. And in Mariupol the Regional Administration department will stay at the same place where it was at Primorskaya Regional Administration at Nahimova prospect 86.
The head of Security Service of Ukraine Valentyn Nalyvaichenko gave interview for TVI Channel He said that Security Service is doing everything they can to secure Parliament elections in Ukraine in all regions from the West to the East.
The president gave us a task to clear Ukraine from saboteurs, to protect Central Election Commission resources and together with Ministry of Internal Affairs and General Prosecutor’s Office to do everything that will allow usual people not to worry about security, and that people can just worry about where their passports are and who to vote for.
Nalyvaichenko also said that the Security Service is doing counter-terrorism and counter-intelligence work to prepare for the elections day and provides security for the resources and website of Central Election Commission and for “Elections” system.
Everyday starting from October 18 there are thousands of attacks on “Elections” resource and our specialists together with other institutes protect the system from those attacks. It is very important for us to protect that electronic island of true and honest elections.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) is sending its delegation to Ukraine to observe Parliament elections scheduled for October 26, 2014. There will be 36 of people in the group that will stay in Ukraine from 24 to 28 of October. The head of the group is Christopher Chope from UK.
The PACE members are going to meet the representatives of political parties of Ukraine and they will also meet Ukrainian Authorities responsible for elections process.
On October 27 the PACE delegation will have press conference in Kyiv at Fairmont Hotel, Naberezhno-Khreshchatytska Street 1
